I'm currently on the verge of a successful transition to a completely vegetarian diet!

My name is Nate and I'm a law student in San Diego. I moved out here from the hell that is Ohio a couple of years ago (and no, I'm not a redneck). As a law student I work hard, so my life is pretty intensely busy most of the time. I love Paul Simon, Chipotle, and any opportunity I can get to be at the beach on a sunny day. I also love being sarcastic and poking fun :).

I would describe myself as a smart, sensitive, and caring guy with a great sense of humor. I love good stimulating conversation so you need to keep up! I love all forms of comedy, but I especially like sophisticated stand up. I try not to take life too seriously, but I do have my goals. I hope to be a successful attorney in the near future.

Full disclosure: Waiting for divorce to be final. But it's been final between my ears for quite some time.

I view baggage as what I take with me on trips. My biggest life file is 'don't know, don't care'. Why? 'Cuz it's how we deal with what really matters that counts. Most of what goes on in life just isn't worth two quarters to rub together.

I focus on the rest.

There are a couple 20-something kids, a boy and a girl. He works with me in business, which is way cool. She's getting married this year AND getting her college degree. New son-in-law is literally a dad's dream.

Been married twice and both are still friends.

I'm a retired college baseball umpire who misses it like crazy. Problem was it took too much time from my business, so one had to give.

I keep in shape via CrossFit, the best approach to fitness I've found since I was a teenager. Was a marathoner 'till it burned me out. Bodybuilder too, but tendons finally surrendered. :)

Easy going, see a lot more than folks around me realize, and would love to find a good woman. First two wives were good women, just not the right ones. I'm learnin' though, really.

A very active individual I enjoy hiking, skiing, rafting, and... well, you get the picture…. I am also at ease simply being at home or out for a night at the theater and dinner at one of San Diego‘s finer dining establishments.

I am hopeful of meeting someone to share active life experiences; someone with some common interests; someone willing to explore interests of mine that they may not have; and someone with interests of their own that I can explore.

I believe that there are relationships that are old and familiar; some that open you up to something new and exciting; many will raise lots of questions and take you somewhere unexpected; others lead you far from where you started, and still others bring you back… but the most exciting, challenging, significant, and fulfilling relationship of all, is the one you have with yourself… So, if you can find someone to love the you that you love… well, that's the ultimate...

We are never totally defined by the words we have chosen to use to describe ourselves in a profile, an e-mail or by the photos we include. To base a match [or not] solely on a few words or precious few photos and not take the time to find out who someone truly is can only be described as an exercise in futility.
