What are My Favorites ?
My Favorites is a feature that allows you to save your favorite HintCafe profiles. Adding profiles to your favorites makes it easier to keep up with the quality singles that you're interested in.
How do I add a user to My Favorites ?
Simply click on the "Add to Favorites" icon, located on the right hand side of a profile and the user will be added to your favorites.
Will a user know if I add them to "My Favorites" ?
Nope! Users that are added to your favorites are kept private.
What are the "Like" and "Dont Like" icons for ?
The "Thumb" icons play an important role when it comes to referring you to people that you may be interested in. Use them often and our matching engine will learn your preferences.
Will a user know if I "Like" or "Dont Like" their profile ?
Nope! That information is safe with HintCafe.
What is a Voice Greeting ?
Voice Greeting is a personalized recorded greeting that your profile visitors can listen to.
Is there a cost associated with Voice Greeting ?
Voice greeting is free to use while it's in beta mode.
What should I record in a Voice Greeting?
A voice greeting injects a bit of life and personality to your profile. It's a fun way to say hello and share a little bit about yourself. You might like to say a simple hi, sing a song or try your best pickup line ;)

Secure Phone Call
What is a "Secure Phone Call" ?
A secure phone call is a service that HintCafe offers to it's members who want to talk to a potential match. This feature allows two interested parties to talk without exchanging phone numbers.
How does secure phone call work ?
It's simple. HintCafe calls both users and connects the call. Its like a conference call with 2 people on the line.
How can I make a secure phone call ?
You can schedule a secure phone by using "Secure Phone Call" option, located on the right hand side of each profile. Then you can schedule a time for the call and attach a message to the phone call request.
Do I have the option of accepting or rejecting a secure phone call request ?
Yes. Each secure phone call request has the option of accepting or rejecting the call. If accepted, the secure phone call will be made at the scheduled time. If the request is not accepted by scheduled time, the call will not be made.
At which number will HintCafe reach me for a secure phone call ?
Your primary phone will be the number that HintCafe will use to contact you.
What's the benefit of Secure Phone Call ?
The benefit of a secure phone call is that it allows you to connect with potential matches without having to share your personal information. It allows the two parties involved to get to know each other, build a rapport and establish a sense of trust before deciding to share your personal information.
Does it cost me anything to accept a secure phone call request ?
No. Only the person who initiated the secure phone call will be charged their talk time. The person receiving the request isn't charged by HintCafe.
Chat
What is chat ?
Chat is a feature that lets users communicate with each other instantly. Chat works using javascript, so make you have javascript enabled in your browser.
How do I use chat ?
When you are on a users profile, you will see a "Chat" icon on the right hand side of the profile. If the user is online, you can click on the icon and request a chat. The user who receives the request can either accept or ignore the request. The chat session will begin as soon as the chat request is accepted.
Can a user tell if I ignored their chat request ?
Nope! That will be your little secret.
How do I end a chat ?
Simply close the chat box and the chat session will end. The other user will receive a message to let them know that you've ended the chat session.
Why cant I click on the chat icon ?
You can only use the chat feature when the other user is online
I sent a chat request but didn't get a response. What happened ?
Either the user is away from their computer, or they ignored your chat request.
eVoice Message
What is an eVoice Message ?
An eVoice Message is a feature that helps users stand out of the crowd by sending a personalized voice message to potential matches. When a user sends an eVoice message, HintCafe delivers the voice message just like it delivers a regular message.
What is the benefit of sending an eVoice Message ?
The first message that you send to potential matches is really a first impression. eVoice Messages are personal, fun and unique. Sending an eVoice message significantly increases your chances of getting a genuine response from potential matches.
How can I send an eVoice Message ?
You can send an eVoice Message by using the "eVoice Message" option on the right hand side of user profile. After that, you will be provided a toll-free phone number and extension to dial. You can use your phone to call that number and extension to record your eVoice Message.
Will users that leave me an eVoice message have my personal contact information ?
No. The number that we provide to leave an eVoice message is a unique HintCafe toll-free number. It does not contain any personal contact information.
Does it cost to send an eVoice Messages ?
To send an eVoice Message, you will be charged Talk Time minutes. If you are receiving an eVoice message, it's free. For further information regarding Talk Time minutes, please refer to the Talk Time FAQs.

What is Profile Tracker or "Who checked me out?" ?
The Profile tracker is a feature that lets HintCafe members see who's viewed their profile over a certain period of time.
What if I don't want people to know that I've viewed their profile ?
Disable Profile Tracker in your settings to view profiles without letting others know that you've viewed their profile.
Can I disable my visits to other profiles from being tracked and still be able to see who's viewing me ?
Now that wouldn't be fair, would it? Only users who use the "Profile tracker" feature can see who has viewed their profile.
Phone Lines
How does the phone validation work ?
We generate a validation code for you which you can see on the website. Our automated system calls your phone and you just enter that validation code when prompted to validate that your own the phone number.
Does it cost anything to link my phone number to the account ?
No. HintCafe doesn't charge you anything to validate your phone number.
Can other users see my phone number ?
No. Your phone number is safe with HintCafe and will not be shared with any other user.
I waited but didn't receive any call for validation
We only verify valid US phone numbers. Please try again. If it still fails, please contact us with the phone number you are trying to validate.
Talk Time
What can I used the talk time for ?
Talk time can be used to send an eVoice Message for a user or secure phone call. For more details, see Secure Phone Call and eVoice Messaging.
I made the purchase on Paypal but my account is not yet updated
We automatically update your account as soon as we receive a confirmation message from Paypal. Usually this is done within a minute for credit cards. You can contact us in case of a delay.
How is the remaining talk time calculated ?
Any call made by you or received by you to leave a eVoice Message or call another user via our secure phone call service is billed to your account. The call duration is rounded up to nearest minute to calculate remaining talk time.
Is there any connection fee to connect the call to another user ?
No

You can either submit a question or get phone coaching to get dating advice for your situation.
If I submit a question, how will I get response to my query ?
