Lonely looking for a friend
Ok I never thought I would do this but here we are. I have been painting in my new place since 12 am and listening to some music, laughing at David Sedaris clips and wondering why I dont have someone with whom to share all this silliness with.
I would just like to meet a nice lady, with whom to have nice conversations with. I am educated and can speak on most topics even the abstract. I recently got out of an 18 yr old relationship and am new to Houston. I have one friend to speak of and my ex. We are still very good friends but she is moving on as best as she can. My other friend is a bit young and doesnt fully get me. I am not looking for a freaky relationship. Just a friend to spend time with and see where it leads. For example she would come over now help me paint, lol have a bottle of wine, laugh chat and maybe go for a long drive in the middle of the night. I am fully respectful of a lady. I spend half of my life with the same one and am the better for having done so. I love the Opera, classical music, but appreciate just about anything. I try to get to the museum often. Im not big on tv I prefer to be out doing something, or if Iam home with that specail someone I prefer us to be doing something fun.

Love hiking, reading, talking about film and the occasional extreme adventure. Keeps me on my toes.

I grew up in musical theater, so I am into acting, singing, and dancing. I have played piano since age 5 and used to play saxophone when I was younger. I enjoy going to see plays and musicals. So far this year I've seen Rent and have tickets to Wicked and The Lion King for later this year.

I'm honestly not a fan of social networking or online dating, but my options are quite limited. I'm a very busy person with OCD tendencies and don't schedule much personal time anymore -though I'd like to change that.
I am a full-time student with two jobs, (Legal Secretary/Rouge Model). I tend to push people away by being brutally honest and up front, but I would honestly prefer more of the same from others. I have a strong aversion to clingy/jealous guys. Oddly, that's all I can attract. I'd consider myself to be the definition of Independent, I have my own car, own money, no kids... I work for all I have and am very proud of it. I come from old money and appreciate the finer things in life. Above all else I have respect for myself, inside and out.
