Lets Just Go Outside And Play
It’s beginning to look a lot like spring, the weather is warming, the days are growing longer and soon animals everywhere will be raising little ones for the life ahead. I don’t feel sorry or bad that I don’t have anyone to share the upcoming new year with but it would be nice to have someone who can make you smile just by knowing their around. I really don’t smile very often people say, although I dispute that it’s just my nature and I’m pretty much always a happy person, if I could find a girl who could put a smile on my face for long enough to take a decent picture of me you wouldn’t have to look at the terrible self portraits that adorn my profile. Just look at those forced grins, they are absolutely dreadful but then again I’m not fond of the way I look either so I’m a terrible biased judge of myself. I want an honest and trustworthy woman who respects me and my morals. I used to drink but don’t really care for it anymore so I’d hope to find a girl who isn’t more attracted to the mouth of a bottle than the lips of a tender dashing young man. I wish I was talking about myself but I’m afraid young man is all I can think of that fits me in that last sentence. Although drinks are ok once in a while there are far more things to do with my time on the weekends than going out drinking… with anyone. I’d much rather be outside. I love the outdoors; working, fishing, playing (I’m not sure what grown men can list under playing but it sounds great so I’m leaving it in) or just enjoying nature and everyday life. I was born, raised and live on a ranch and like the open space and wildlife that comes from living in the country. I’ve never lived nor had any desire to live in town, it just all feels a little too cramped for me. I don’t watch much television, only a few hours before bed… unless we are talking about winter time, in which case I drag out all my old movies (I have way too many movies) and enjoy some great horror action! I like a lot of different genres of movies but what is better than seeing Kevin Bacon chased by a giant worm? Nothing! Have you laughed once during this read-a-long? Yes I said read-a-long, you didn’t even notice I was reading this over your shoulder did you? Laughing is great, I would recommend doing it now… Hahaha, see makes everyone feel a little bit better doesn’t it!? Hey! You! Do you like to exercise? Do you enjoy keeping yourself in pretty decent shape, not necessarily body builder condition, not even really all that muscular but just fit enough to outrun your own parents or siblings? If so you might share one of the characteristics as the person you are reading about right now! Wow I really should read more, I have lots of books but I never read them. I think maybe they are too boring because they just make me fall asleep when I try. That’s something I would like to better myself on someday. I try to better myself every day, look at my flaws and grow as a person because of them. I am always interested in learning something; I try to discover something new every day, I guess that’s why I watch the History channel a lot. I haven’t learned how to meet a decent girl yet though. I think they had that show on a few weeks back and I missed it, it was between UFO Landings and the Dog Whisperer. Wow, I wonder what their targeted audience was. People I know could say I can bring humor to any conversation; there is nothing wrong with laughing, if you haven’t done it yet, you should try it, I highly recommend it. Especially in the economy today, you just about have to laugh or cry one or the other and I am a man so I can’t admit to ever crying. I am adventurous, I like doing things that others can’t do, makes me feel like I am worth at least 2 cents, sometimes even 75 cents on a good day. I’m not just interested in meeting my soul-mate but making new friends as well, if you are a good person and think you can tolerate my weirdness don’t hesitate to shout at me as loud as you want, sometimes twice to make sure I am paying attention. When you are an active person, with an incredible passion for life sometimes it's hard to find the right man to keep up. I am writing a book, run my own business and am an RN. I have two kid one in college one in high school, both incredible boys. My true young kids are my two dogs that love to go running with me. I really love my life right now, all it needs is a great man.

A friend and I used to say that we'd never be able to pick up men at bars, we'd rather pick up the kind of men you find in bookstores. I could spend hours in Borders or Barnes & Noble with coffee and a good book, but I've yet to get up the courage to actually approach men in bookstores. (Technically, I could spend hours ANYWHERE with coffee and a good book.) I tend to be quiet at first around new people, but I open up easily once I've gotten to know someone. If you can make me laugh (and most people can) then we're good.
