I’m single and on my own after a long time, so I’m learning to enjoy my own company and my own space – it’s a lot exciting and a little scary. I’ve learned a lot about myself and relationships and I’m trying to make a positive learning experience out of my past relationships. I’ve devoted the last year or so to getting healthier in mind and body. In the past year I have a new place in a new part of town, a new job, and a new outlook on life. I’m excited about the future and I am ready to meet someone to spend time with and get to know – would love to make lots of new friends and ultimately find that special someone who can be my best friend and life partner.
I have 2 amazing daughters who are in college and away from home (most of the time) - I’m really proud of them both! We have so much fun together – they bring out my youthful energy for sure! I have been in Colorado for 14 years, but I grew up in New Jersey and still consider myself a “Jersey Girl”. I miss my family, friends, the ocean, and the great food back east, but have grown to really like this part of the country. I will say, though, that after 14 years, I haven’t been convinced to hit the slopes. I might be persuaded (want to try?), but would much prefer sitting in the hot tub with a drink watching the snow fall. Or - better yet - escaping the snow for Arizona or California and getting some sun and warm weather.
Being an analyst and project manager, I enjoy researching and planning things in my personal life, but I also enjoy a last minute get-together, or quick weekend trip. I’d love to meet someone who might even plan something special to surprise me. I consider myself adventurous – not in the extreme sports sort of way - but I love to see and try new things –visiting a state or country I haven’t been to; taking a day trip to a town in Colorado I haven’t been to and exploring; trying new restaurants and new foods – I’m up for trying almost anything once…more if I like it! I like to cook for friends and family and would love someone who enjoys my food, or better yet, wants to come in the kitchen and cook with me! I usually enjoy keeping busy, but cuddling up and watching a movie or listening to music or reading is nice as well. I am most comfortable in jeans and bare feet, but also enjoying dressing up on occasion.
I’m not a fan of electronic communications – I use email or texting for quick info exchanges or a quick “thinking about you”, but would much prefer meeting and talking in person. I feel like that’s the only way to truly get to know someone and, being an extrovert, would always prefer in person interactions to chatting online.
